I believe public safety and security is a fundamental function of government. I support all first responders in Kentucky. Police officers, firefighters, EMT’s and all law enforcement officers work every day to ensure a safe and secure Kentucky. I support funding to increase the pay of all first responders to ensure Kentucky retains and attracts the absolute best candidates for these public safety positions. We are at a tipping point with crime at record levels in Southwest Jefferson County, we must take action now to stabilize and take back control of our neighborhoods and communities. I support funding to increase the number of law enforcement personnel, and to provide resources and means for effective policing in our current environment.

In recent years, government agencies and executives have forced the closure of our schools, businesses, jobs, churches, and community centers. This government overreach into our daily lives has delivered disastrous results to our children, families, communities, and society. I support limiting the power of government to infringe on individual liberties.

To put it succinctly, I believe the role of government is to create and enforce laws ensuring public safety and a thriving economy, provide high quality public services at the lowest possible cost to taxpayers, and protect the individual liberties of ALL.

I support the effort to eliminate the Kentucky state income tax. I believe workers and families earn the right to keep as much of their paycheck as possible. I will always be a leader and advocate for reducing the overall tax burden on ALL Kentuckians.

I support sports betting in Kentucky. Passing sports betting legislation in Kentucky is long overdue. The state will benefit from the millions of dollars in revenue we currently see Kentuckians spending in neighboring states. As State Representative, I will go to Frankfort and work to pass legislation to allow sports betting in Kentucky.

I support term limits for elected officials in Kentucky. Allowing career politicians to operate in the same position for longer than 12 years delivers representation for the few at the expense of ALL. This has been proven at the federal, state, and local levels. PRP and Valley station are ready for a new generation of leadership and representation. I will proudly lead the effort to establish term limits in Kentucky.

I support KY House Bill 136 that would legalize medical marijuana. As State Representative, improving the quality of life for Kentuckians suffering from chronic illness is something that will always have my vote. I support legalizing medical marijuana and putting the decision-making process for treatment in the hands of patients and doctors, not the government.

I support the 2nd Amendment and our right to own and possess firearms. I support background checks and will never vote to restrict the rights of responsible gun owners in Kentucky.
